What Books Am I Bringing on Vacation?

It's August 31st, the almost September, and Labour Day Weekend! From this afternoon - September 4th, I will be going to Cypress Hills, Saskatchewan for a little bit of power tubing/camping fun. Of course, leaving home without a book would be despicable, so I am going to share with you the 6 books I am bringing on vacation!

The first book that I will be bringing is my current read, Specials by Scott Westerfeld. It is the 3rd book in the Uglies series, and I am super excited to dive head-first into it. Since Uglies is my favourite book/series, I'm sure that that won't be too hard. I would definitely recommend it, especially to anyone who loves science fiction or dystopian worlds (like me), or adventure. Defiantly for the YA audience though.

The second book that I will have with me is Extras, also by Scott Westerfeld and the final book of the Uglies series. I'm really excited, like Specials to read this book.

The third book that I'm bringing is Matched by Allie Condie. I am so happy that I am bring this along! This hold actually just came in to the library today, and when I heard about it I raced there on my bike, guaranteeing that this book will be in my travel bag. This will probably be the book I read after I am completed with Specials.

The fourth book that I'm bringing is The Alchemyst by Michael Scott. I was actually introduced to this book by a friend, so I decided to put this novel on hold. I picked it up today along with Matched. It is the first of the Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series.

The fifth book that I have packed is Graceling by Kristen Cashore. I am so excited to read this!! Although I probably won't get to it this vacation, I still wanted to bring it just in case. I would die if I finished The Alychemyst without having Gracling to read next. Again, I'm SO excited! This is the first of the Seven Kingdoms Trilogy.

And last but not least I have Divergent by Veronica Roth. Again, I have been waiting SO long to get this from the library (the hold system). In fact, I still don't have it... the hold I mean. I actually got it off of the "no-holds" shelves of my library, and I am so happy that I saw it there! Now I have this opportunity to read this amazing book in Cypers Hills. TIP: Use the "no-holds" shelves.

So, there's the big list. Specials, Extras, Matched, The Alchemyst, Gracling, and Divergent. Hopefully I can get through at least three of these, so stay tuned for some book reviews coming early September.
